Dorothy Atkinson Ph.D

Dorothy Atkinson completed her first degree in the UK and then came to Canada where she completed her doctorate in economic geology at the University of Western Ontario. Subsequently she spent 5 years as a project geologist with Amax in the western US and Canada working primarily in porphyry and skarn hosted deposits.

 

Her work was field orientated and included extensive ore reserve definition.  Subsequently she was employed by the Federal Government as a District Geologist and was responsible for monitoring the Lac de Gras diamond discoveries as well as implementing a computerized database of the mineral deposits of the NWT and Nunavut.


She has been a Mining Analyst for 8 years and presently works at Bolder Investment Partners Ltd.
